A cosy train journey to the shopping Sunday in Groningen or Leeuwarden

It is not just cosy travelling to the shopping Sundays in Groningen or Leeuwarden by train, it is also very cheap with the Arriva train. The following applies on shopping Sunday: 2 for the price of 1. Plus you don’t have to look for a parking place. And you are driven back home comfortably after a day of tireless shopping. Nothing but advantages!

What do you have to do

You buy just one return ticket Groningen or Leeuwarden and you travel together to the shopping Sunday and back. The action is only valid when you buy a return ticket and when the final destination is “Groningen” or “Leeuwarden”.

The action is valid in all Arriva trains. No matter if you travel from Dronrijp, Koudum, Appingedam, Harlingen or Martenhoek, for example: you travel together, and cheap, to the shopping Sunday. The action is also valid in combination with the Voordeelurenkaart [hour discount card]. So: the holder of the hour discount card buys a return ticket Groningen at the reduced rate, and you travel together with that return and the hour discount card to the shopping Sunday! The action is valid on a number of shopping Sundays designated by the local authorities.

Please note!

This “2 for the price of 1” action does not apply to travel cards, (annual) route cards and OV student cards.
