Reduced bus fares for children
Children under 12 travelling with their own personal OV-chipkaart get a 34% age discount on bus travel. The discount is automatically applied at check-in and check-out.
Kids Vrij: free train travel for children
Kids Vrij is a season ticket that allows children under 12 to travel free with an adult. Each child must have a personal OV-chipkaart. A paying adult can be accompanied by up to 3 children.

Railrunner: cheap train travel for children
If a child does not have a personal OV-chipkaart or is travelling unaccompanied, the Railrunner ticket is the best option. This ticket costs 2.50 euros and is available for children under 12. Railrunner tickets can be purchased from the ticket machine at the station.
